Here’s an early monoprint of mine, the image a harvest field in France.
Created with ink on a plate then transferred to dampened paper through the press
What is an ‘original’ print it sounds like a contradiction in terms
How can a print – a multiple image, be original?
A plate made by the printmaker is inked and printed on a hand operated press
like mine in the pictures above and below
then the edition is numbered and signed by the printmaker – so each print is made individually and is not the reproduction of an original.
I’ve been working on a large linocut of Malcesine for a US exhibition
a lot of cutting involved but I’m making progress
It didn’t get selected for the exhibition but I’m still pleased with it!

‘High wind Lake Garda’
Strong winds blow every day on Lake Garda, the Vento in the morning and the Ora in the afternoon.
I titled it ‘They only shine’ and sent it to last year’s 20:20 Print Exchange
